Robert Patterson Bradley was b. August 6, 1869 in Buncombe County, NC and died April 17, 1951 in Buncombe County, NC. He married Lydia Lavina Blankenship July 18, 1894 in Madison County. She was born August 7, 1879 in Madison County, NC and died November 7, 1959 in Buncombe County, NC. They are both buried in the cemetery at Longs Chapel, in the Reems Creek section of Buncombe County, NC. Robert Patterson Bradley was 1st married to Sally Kate Brank and had a daughter Ethel by that marriage.

Robert Patterson Bradley was the son of James Dickerson Bradley (Feb. 12, 1840 – March 1, 1880) and Novina Margaret Elizabeth Corn (May 5, 1835 – March 13, 1922). They md. December 27, 1861 in Buncombe County, NC and are buried in Chambers Cemetery in the Reems Creek section of Buncombe County, NC. (Both died in Buncombe, NC, James (J.D. Bradley) was born in NC, Margaret may have been born in TN.)

Lydia Lavina Blankenship was the daughter of David Blankenship (July 4, 1833 – November 5, 1912)and Dicey E. Moore (July 7, 1838 – March 28, 1884). They married September 03, 1856 in Washington County, TN. David was born in Rutherford County, NC and d. in Madison County. Dicey was born in Flag Pond, Unicoi Co., TN and died in Madison County, NC. Both are buried in Fosters Creek Cemetery in Madison County, NC. (Dicey has 2 markers a good 15 feet apart…)
