I’m not sure what category to put this one in…..
Again, Randomgenealogy.com has spotted this thought at genealogyblog.com. The post is a “last will” highlighting instructions for the care and passing on of genealogical research notes. I’m relatively young and I’ve given thought to it. Have you?
I’ve even considered asking whoever is to receive the information to make sure that the digital portion is copied onto whatever media in whatever formats will be easily readable. (Wouldn’t it be sad if that scanned picture of your 3rd great-grandfather from your long lost cousin was unreadable because no one used that type of image format anymore.)
Of course, I’ve also considered leaving a video of sorts, among other things suggesting that if time travel is ever possible, come look me up, I’d enjoy going for a spin, etc.
